Deixis Press has snapped up a new psychological horror novel from Richard Gadz entitled The Burn Street Haunting.
Editorial director Angel Belsey acquired world English language rights directly from the author. The novel will be published in October 2023.
The Burn Street Haunting is a "nightmarish tale of gangsters, corrupt coppers and secret paranormal experiments" set in 1973 London. The story follows Tommy who is on the run and is being haunted by a supernatural psychic entity which, he thinks, wants to devour his soul.
Gadz, the pen name for Simon Chesire, has previously published The Workshop of Filthy Creation with Deixis Press which won the Best Horror Award at the New Generation Indie Book Awards 2022.
Belsey commented: "The Burn Street Haunting is sublimely creepy and Gadz has produced another masterwork of suspense and surprise. His tightly woven novel carries the reader into a nightmare world where nothing is quite what it seems. I’m so excited to be publishing this phenomenal book. I guarantee readers will find it absolutely spine-chilling."
