DK lands 'relatable and practical' guide for fathers by Aboderin

DK has landed a “relatable and practical” guide for fathers by motivational speaker and content creator Bodé Aboderin. 

Stephanie Milner, senior acquisitions editor, acquired world rights to Fatherhood by Papa B: A Game-changing Guide for Parents, Father Figures and Fathers-to-be from Francesca Zampi at The Found. It will be published in June. 

The book explores what it means to be a father in the present day, shifting the narrative away from stigmas and stereotypes about fatherhood, race and masculinity.

Aboderin runs a media business with his wife and is also a stay-at-home dad. He said he was inspired to write the book because of his evolving beliefs on fatherhood and masculinity in real-time following his recent conversion from climbing a corporate ladder to running a household and family business.  

Milner said: “Bodé has written a brave and bold book that looks at his evolving parenting style alongside his relationship with his own father to offer a forward-thinking perspective on how to be present as a dad and partner.
