DK senior acquisitions editor Alexander’s debut novel goes to Storm

The debut psychological thriller from DK senior acquisitions editor Becky Alexander, entitled The Actress, has been acquired by Storm Publishing.

Publisher Kathryn Taussig bought world English-language rights for two books from Charlie Campbell of Greyhound Literary Agents. It will be published in January 2024.

The Actress follows aspiring actress Jemima, who gets swept into the orbit of rich, successful theatre producer Rebecca. There she gets a taste of the fame she’s always craved… but at what price?

Alexander said: “I chose Storm to publish my debut novel because their entrepreneurial, dynamic approach appeals to me, and I’m delighted to be one of Kathryn’s first authors. I can’t wait for my ruthless, ambitious characters to take to the stage in The Actress.”
