Duckworth Books has acquired The Secret Diary of a New Mum (Aged 43 1/4) by Cari Rosen.
World rights were acquired by m.d. Pete Duncan from Jonathan Pegg at JPLA.
The memoir, described as a "laugh-out-loud and honest memoir about what it’s really like to become a first-time mother in your 40s", will be published in March 2021, in time for Mother’s Day.
Duncan said: "Cari Rosen’s account is one of those remarkable pick-me-up books that deserves to be a classic of its kind, which we couldn’t be more thrilled to share."
Rosen commented: "I’m so delighted that The Secret Diary of a New Mum has found a home with Duckworth at a time when it’s more relevant than ever (all those lockdown babies!). Duckworth’s enthusiasm for the book means so much, and I’m looking forward to working together over the coming months."
