Romance writer Mandy Baggot has signed a two-book deal with Ebury.
Baggot is “thrilled” to be joining the publisher, which has acquired world all languages rights from her agent Kate Nash.
Single for the Summer, publishing on 27th July, features sun, sea and romance against the backdrop of Corfu and promises to be the “ultimate antidote to negativity”.
One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill will be published on 16th November.
Ebury commissioning editor Emily Yau, who acquired the rights, said: “Mandy’s writing is the ultimate antidote to negativity and, short of going on a last-minute Greek getaway, Single for the Summer is just the thing to escape with. Full of humour and warmth, and written in an engaging and uplifting way, I’m sure romantic fiction fans will love it.”
Baggot said: “I'm thrilled to be joining the team at Ebury and I’m very excited for the opportunity to reach an even wider audience with my feel-good romances.”
Kate Nash of Kate Nash Literary Agency said: "Mandy is a huge talent and brings her own brand of storytelling which blends contemporary realism with escapism, romance and comedy. We're thrilled at the opportunity to further grow her readership and author platform with Ebury."
Baggot won the Innovation in Romantic Fiction award at the UK’s Festival of Romance and was shortlisted for the Romantic Comedy Novel of the Year award last year.
