Ebury Press has signed a two-book deal with Nathan Anthony, creator of the healthy food platform Bored of Lunch.
Editor Celia Palazzo acquired world all-language rights from Lynn Hunter and Aoifa Smyth at the Collaborations Agency. Bored of Lunch: The Healthy Slowcooker Book will be published in January 2023 with Bored of Lunch: The Healthy Airfryer Book following in May 2023.
Anthony launched Bored of Lunch in March 2020 to inspire people to create healthy food. He has 800,000 followers across all his channels.
The Healthy Slowcooker Book contains 80 "delicious and easy home-style" recipes. "Calorie-counted and perfect for anyone who wants delicious meals that make you feel great; satisfying, flavourful food has never been so easy and affordable," the publisher wrote.
Palazzo said: "Nathan is a force to be reckoned with and we are delighted to be publishing him at Ebury. His passion and work ethic are unmatched and the fast growth he’s seen on his channels shows how perfectly in tune he is with what the home cook is looking for. Easy, time-saving recipes that happen to be healthy—what more could you want?"
Anthony added: "I started Bored of Lunch as a bit of a lockdown hobby, working from home and unable to go anywhere. With the intention to provide quick, cost-effective and calorie-conscious recipes for those at home, I never in my wildest dreams imagined it would take off as quickly and on the scale it did. I’m beyond excited to bring out my debut cookbook celebrating the iconic kitchen gadget I used in my first ever social media post."
