Penguin Random House has acquired Bloom: Navigating Life and Style by beauty and lifestyle vlogger Estée Lalonde.
Lalonde is known for her "friendly, honest and relatable" posts documenting her "style journey" and has a global audience of millions across her YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter platforms.
Bloom is described as "a deeply personal book", sharing a journey of "self-discovery". It is filled with photos from Lalonde's childhood as well as new photography that captures her style now.
In Bloom she tackles "the enigmatic subject of style", what it means to her and who and what inspires her personal style. She shares details of the areas in her life that have influenced the way she looks and feels, including fashion, beauty, travel, work, leisure and pleasures.
In 2015 she won InStyle UK’s "Best Beauty Reviewer Award" and partnered up with a number of key global brands, including Burberry, The Body Shop, and the United Nations for their Global Goals campaign.
Her first book publishes in hardback under PRH imprint Ebury Press on 1st September 2016, priced £16.99. The deal for world all language rights was done by Laura Higginson, Ebury Press senior commissioning editor and Lou Grima and Emily Shanks at Storm Vision.
Higginson said: "We are really excited about publishing Estee’s first book, Bloom – navigating life and style, this September. We’ve been fans of her work for a long, long time and we were thrilled when she decided it was the right time to write a book and what it would be. This is a very honest and personal book and Estee’s inimitable style will be there from the first word to the gorgeous design of the finished copies."
Lalonde uploaded a video to comment on the news yesterday afternoon, which amassed 10,000 views in the first 30 minutes, according to publishers.
