Ebury Press is publishing a new book from YouTube "superstars" Dan Howell and Phil Lester, authors of bestselling debut The Amazing Book is Not on Fire (TABINOF).
Howell and Lester's next book, Dan and Phil Go Outside, is set for global release on 3rd November 2016. Its premise is the young YouTubers - "traditional avoiders of human contact and direct sunlight" - will take readers on an "epic journey around the world on tour". It will chronicle the "searing highs" of life outside, such as room service pancakes, as well as the "spiralling lows" of being without wifi.
The book will include exclusive personal photos of their travels, including performing their TATINOF stage show, and will be annotated with their "classic, witty" commentary.
The Amazing Book is Not on Fire last year topped charts during October's Super Thursday week and was a debut number one bestseller on the New York Times list. It was supported by a live tour, which choreographed stage show inspired by the book sold over 170,000 tickets at "iconic" venues the Beacon in New York City, Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and London Palladium.
Rebecca Smart, m.d. of Ebury Publishing, said: "Dan and Phil are two of the best creative talents in the business today, and we could not be more proud to have the opportunity to work with them and to publish their new book, Dan and Phil Go Outside. They are one-of-a-kind entertainers, connecting with an enormous community of people through their authenticity and unique sense of humour – I can’t wait to see their fans’ reaction to this brilliant new book."
Sara Cywinski, senior commissioning editor, said: "I’m thrilled to be working with Dan and Phil again. Their creativity is so infectious – the global publication and campaign for TABINOF was such a brilliant experience – and I can’t wait for DAPGO to be unleashed."
Howell and Lester: "This past year has been the biggest adventure of our lives and we can't wait to share these memories with our audience! It's also proof we actually went outside."
