Ebury Self has won a four-way auction to a new book from visualisation and mental fitness expert and entrepreneur Maya Raichoora. Editorial director Holly Whitaker acquired world all-language rights to Visualise: Think, Feel, Perform Like the Top 1% from Tom Caplan at The TAC Company. It will publish in hardback, e-book and audiobook in 2025.
Maya Raichoora is an award-winning entrepreneur and c.e.o. of Remap Mental Fitness. She works with athletes, chief executive and global brands such as Nike, Gymshark, Asics, American Express and Lego, "teaching them the art of visualisation". Visualisation is a neurological mental training technique "that rewires the brain" and Raichoora’s debut is the first contemporary book of its kind on the art of visualisation.
She draws on the latest neuroscience, her own story, case studies and five techniques (Outcome, Process, Creative, Negative and Explorative) that she teaches her clients. The publisher said: "Maya will help you reframe your mindset and move away from all the habits and behaviours that are holding you back from reaching your potential so you too can think, feel and perform like the top 1% do.
"Whether you want to boost confidence, focus your mind, improve your public speaking skills, supercharge your productivity, achieve your aspirations for your future life, take control of your imposter syndrome or simply go about your day with a more positive state-of-mind, Visualise will help you become the best version of yourself."
Raichoora said: "Every single day I get people asking me if there is a book about what visualisation is and how to do it. Since the 1980s there hasn’t been a single book detailing exactly how to use visualisation to rewire the brain, until now. I am so excited to be publishing this book as it combines 10 years of experience, research and results. I can’t wait to witness how visualisation is going to help so many other people, just like it helped me. From better confidence and motivation to managing emotions and life’s challenges better. The mind is like a puppy! If we don’t train it, it will sh*t everywhere…"
Whitaker said: "Calling Maya a force of nature is an understatement. She’s a star on the rise and the passion she has for visualisation and the way she’s on a mission to share her knowledge through workshops, events and her socials is incredible to watch. In Visualise, Maya’s methods are relevant to absolutely everyone—whether you’re wanting to feel more confident in your job or whether you’re an athlete at the top of your game—this book will help you level up."
