Ebury has bought world rights for Amy Sheppard’s The Aldi Lover’s Guide to Cooking, after a "hotly contested" auction from Clare Hulton at Clare Hulton Literary Agency. The family cookbook, which uses “100% Aldi ingredients” , was originally published as an e-book and hit the Amazon Kindle Food and Drink number one spot.
Editor Lydia Good said: “We are thrilled to welcome to the Ebury fold. She is a passionate foodie and a down-to-earth cook. Creative, inventive and so relevant for today’s world—catering for food lovers and families on a budget in a new era of supermarket shopping. This is a unique cookbook that we can’t wait to share with its hungry market.”
Sheppard said: “I had always wanted to write a cookbook—I’m obsessed with food and have always had lots of recipes floating around my head! I am so excited about the release of the book and still can’t believe how far it’s come in only a year from first starting work on it.”
