Ebury Spotlight has landed a new memoir from musician Cliff Richard.
Lorna Russell, senior editorial director, bought world all language rights to A Head Full of Music from The Cliff Richard Organisation. It will publish 26th October 2023 alongside The Blue Sapphire UK Tour.
The synopsis says: “Cliff lives in and for music. And with 65 years as a hitmaker, the music filling his head is a broad category. His soundtrack begins by travelling back to that first life-changing discovery of rock and roll, taking readers on a rollercoaster ride through the musical landscape of the 20th and 21st century, from his first encounters with great soul stars such as Aretha Franklin, through to long-time colleagues like Elton John, his all-time favourite band the Bee Gees, amazing gospel artists and much missed close friends Cilla Black and Olivia Newton-John.
“This book is meaningful to Cliff on a number of levels, covering 30+ songs that have moved him deeply, interweaving personal stories from his life with fascinating anecdotes about the legendary artists he has met and known over his 65 years in music. Part memoir, part deep-dive into pop music history, A Head Full of Music is a vibrant personal journey for Cliff, and it’s a joy to accompany him on it.”
