Egmont has acquired two more books by Holly Jackson, the YA author of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.
Lindsey Heaven, editorial director for fiction, bought world rights to a sequel to Jackson’s debut, plus one more title, from Sam Copeland at Rogers, Coleridge & White. Egmont previously bought two books from Jackson in March last year.
The sequel to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will be released in May 2020 on the Electric Monkey list, followed by books in 2021 and 2022.
Dougal said: “We’re thrilled with the way our YA strategy has played out with A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Electric Monkey is a boutique list of bestsellers and award-winners; we acquire only the most commercial and distinctive books, each of which we support with targeted and creative marketing and PR. Holly Jackson is a huge talent and we’re proud to have launched her career as the new must-read thriller writer. She has a big future ahead of her.”
