Embla Books, the digital-first commercial fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has snapped up two more books from Suzanne Fortin.
Editorial director Cara Chimirri acquired world English language rights from Hattie Grunewald at The Blair Partnership. Fortin’s as-yet-untitled next novel will be published in July 2024, and will follow the journey of female pilots during the war, to be followed by another in summer 2025.
Fortin said: “It’s been a dream working with the fabulous team at Embla books, and I’m delighted we are bringing readers two more historical stories of courageous women in exceptional circumstances.”
Chimirri said: “Sue’s books draw together the most fascinating research and the most beautiful writing that offers us a window through her unforgettable characters into both the reality of war and the immense bravery ordinary people are capable of. It is such a privilege to publish her here at Embla. Sue’s many, many five-star reviews also show just how much her readers love being taken on a journey with each new book and we can’t wait to get these two new novels into their hands!”
Grunewald said: ‘I’m delighted that Embla will be publishing more historical books from Suzanne Fortin – Sue has built such a devoted readership for her gripping, emotional novels, and they are sure to love this new offering."
Suzanne Fortin writes historical fiction, predominantly dual timeline and set in France. She also writes mystery and suspense as Sue Fortin.
