Faber is to publish The Cummings Files: Confidential–Thoughts, Ideas, Actions by Dominic Cummings, written by Arthur Mathews.
Publishing director Louisa Joyner bought world all-language rights from Katie Haines at the Agency Ltd, after collaborating on the creation of the project with Mathews.
The tongue-in-cheek diary will ruminate on the "full story of those trips to Durham" and "his close relationship with the prime minister".
Mathews is an Irish comedy writer and actor, who co-wrote "Father Ted" with Graham Linehan. He has sold 78,616 books for £703,558 through Nielsen BookScan's UK TCM.
His other credits include "The Fast Show", "The Armstrong and Miller Show", "The Catherine Tate Show", "The Tracey Ullman Show", "Toast of London" and BBC television's "The Road To Brexit".
Publication is scheduled for October 2020.
