Faber has netted Peter Swanson’s The Kind Worth Saving, the sequel to his 2015 thriller The Kind Worth Killing (Faber).
Publishing director Angus Cargill acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein on behalf of Sobel Weber Associates. The novel will be published in March 2023 and will be the centrepiece of Faber’s "Year of Swanson" publishing plans.
The Kind Worth Saving sees the return of surviving characters Lily Kintner and Henry Kimball from the earlier book. Now a private detective, Henry must turn to Lily, the woman who stabbed him, for help in a new, strange case—"a case with a very dark backstory, which perhaps only someone who’s previously got away with murder could hope to try and figure out," the publisher wrote.
Cargill described The Kind Worth Saving as an "absolute joy, a dark, witty, twisty and thrilling read".
