Faber has snapped up CountryFail, a "hilarious" guide to the countryside by comedian Killian Sundermann.
Publishing director Hannah Knowles acquired world rights from Aoifa Smyth at the Collaborations Agency, and the book will be published on 12th September 2024.
"Welcome to the countryside," the synopsis reads. "A place of rolling hills, winding rivers and natural beauty. Or is it? Killian Sundermann is here to give us his deeply uninformed, highly opinionated and hilarious guide to the countryside. He rates stone walls, weighs up the varying appeal of different styles of hedges, gives us a bitchy guide to ditches and explains why hiking is for people with emotional problems."
The author, who is a sketch and live stand-up comedian and actor, said: "If this book doesn’t get me Attenborough’s job then democracy, as we know it, is finished."
