Jamie Fewery has moved to Legend Press with his “wry and touching” novel The Brink.
Cari Rosen, commissioning editor, acquired world English rights, excluding film and television, from Charlie Campbell at Greyhound Literary. The book will be published on 4th May 2023.
The synopsis reads: “Two kids. Three houses. Four flats. And one affair apiece. Now, after 15 years together, Dan and Anya Moorcraft are on the brink.”
“But as they go through couples’ mediation, dissecting their shared history in sessions surrounded by lawyers and paperwork, are they about to find something worth saving? Or are they going to reaffirm their decision to end things for good?”
Fewery’s first two books, Our Life In a Day and The Way Back, were published by Orion. He is an author, journalist and copywriter who has written for the Daily Telegraph, Five Dials and Wired, and works for a London-based marketing and creative agency.
“I’m delighted to be working with Cari and the team at Legend on The Brink,” said Fewery. “Cari’s passion for the book shines through, and I couldn’t hope for a better home for it. We’re excited for readers to get inside Dan and Anya’s complicated marriage next spring.”
Rosen commented: “I’ve long been a fan of Jamie’s writing and am delighted to have acquired this beautifully observed novel. The Brink uncovers the anatomy of a marriage and its unravelling and is wry and touching in equal measure.”
