Firefly Press signs sequel from A J Clack

Firefly Press has signed A J Clack’s Lie or Die: Blood Moon, the sequel to Lie or Die.

Publisher Penny Thomas acquired UK, Commonwealth and North American rights from Saskia Leach at Kate Nash Literary Agency for publication in autumn 2025.

In the sequel, Kass returns and has been blackmailed into competing in reality television show, "Blood Moon". The synopsis continues: "Lured to a mysterious castle location, Kass discovers that contestants will go to extreme lengths for fame, fortune and revenge, and that far from being on the run, the Lie or Die killer has prepared a deadly comeback. Kass has just three nights of the Blood Moon to identify the Werewolves and save her friends." Leach called the novel "’The Traitors’ meets ’Squid Game’." 

Editor Hayley Fairhead said: "Clack has done it again with this reality-TV thriller even more deadly than the last."

Clack added: "I’m excited to be working with Hayley and the Firefly team again on the Lie or Die sequel based on the party game Werewolf."
