No Exit Press is to publish five new titles from three "exceptional" US writers: Paul Vidich, Michael Farris Smith and William Giraldi.
From Vidich comes a "brilliant" debut espionage novel titled An Honorable Man. In the style of Alan Furst and John le Carré, it is a "chilling" Cold War spy thriller set in 1950s Washington, D.C. UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to the title and Vidich's next novel, The Good Assassin, were acquired from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein on behalf of The Gernert Company.
An Honorable Man is published by Simon and Schuster in the US and will be published in the UK in hardback on 22nd September 2016.
Desperation Road is a new literary novel from Smith. UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to Desperation Road and Smith’s next novel, The Fighter, were acquired from Claire Roberts at Trident Media Group on behalf of Ellen Levine. North American rights have been sold to Lee Boudreax at Little, Brown.
Desperation Road is scheduled for publication in hardback in Spring 2017.
The Hero's Body is a "magnificent" memoir from Giraldi, the author of Hold the Dark (No Exit Press). "Smart and profound", the book is a "gripping" meditation on what it means to 'be a man' in contemporary society. UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to The Hero's Body were bought from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein on behalf of Kirsten Neuhaus at Foundry Literary + Media working on behalf of Giraldi's agent, David Patterson.
The memoir is published by Liveright in the US and UK publication is set for summer 2017.
