Fly on the Wall Press has landed Witchborne, a novel about the "suppression of female power in a superstitious society", from Rachel Grosvenor.
Managing director Isabelle Kenyon acquired worldwide exclusive rights directly from the author for publication on 1st September 2025.
Set in the medieval town of Locklear, Witchborne follows Agnes who can touch fire without being burned. In a bid to protect her family and keep her ability secret, Agnes makes a deal with a suspected witch. When things go awry, she must either learn to harness her power or keep silent.
The publisher has called it "a timely exploration of societies threatened by female power, the complexity of motherhood and how the pressure to conform to societal expectations reverberates through generations".
