Fly on the Wall Press has scooped The Water That May Come, the "groundbreaking" speculative novel from Amy Lilwall.
Managing director Isabelle Kenyon acquired world exclusive rights directly from the author for publication in October 2025 when the publisher expects it will "make waves in the literary world".
The Water That May Come envisions Britain on the edge of environmental catastrophe. The story follows four characters—Pinko, Jane, Ashleigh and Gavin—as they navigate impossible choices to survive. The novel has been pitched as a "thought-provoking exploration of post-Brexit Europe".
Lilwall commented: "The hint of magic in this story emphasises the perceived implausibility of a situation where UK citizens are forced to leave their homeland, yet it has happened and will happen again."
