Kate Adams, former publisher at Penguin, is launching a series of self-development workbooks, the Inner Work Project.
The three titles include I Am — A Month of Affirmations by Adams, In the Flow — Journal Your Inner Wisdom by Henny Flynn and On Purpose — Discover the Meaning of Your Life by Danielle North. Adams acquired world all- language rights, including audio and e-book, directly from the authors. The books will be published in May 2024.
Each book aims "to hold the torch for others and encourage them in their time of self-discovering and transformation".
Adams said: "“I had been fortunate to go to Nepal early in my publishing career to participate in a charity trek to Everest Base Camp. I suffered from insomnia for the entire ascent and on the last day I was too exhausted to make the final hike to Base Camp. One of the Sherpas generously made me the best noodle soup I’ve ever had, told me to sleep (the best sleep) and then took me to see an incredible glacier. It may have been a cliché, but I will never forget his laughter and his words, ‘If you worry so much about getting to the destination, you forget to enjoy the journey’. And so, I’ll always want to publish books in innovative ways that can help us navigate the inner journey.”
