HarperCollins has signed a four-book deal with author Sarah Morgan.
The world rights were acquired by senior editor Flo Nicoll at HQN Books from Susan Ginsburg of Writers House.
Morgan is a London-baed writer of contemporary romance and multi-generational women's fiction. She is published in North America by HQN Books and in the UK by HQ, both trade imprints of HarperCollins, and translated into eight languages by HarperCollins in Brazil, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Hungary. The first book in the four-book contract will be published in autumn 2019. Previous novels by Morgan include How to Keep a Secret and the From Manhattan with Love series.
Morgan said: “I’m thrilled to be continuing my relationship with the wonderful teams at HQN and HQ and to be part of HarperCollins’ international publishing programme. They have worked hard to expand my readership globally and their energy and creativity make them a joy to work with.”
Lisa Milton, executive publisher of HQ, said: “Sarah Morgan’s stories are warm, heartfelt and true reflections of women’s lives today. I’m so proud that HQ get to publish them in the UK. We’ve already achieved so much with Sarah - sales of How to Keep a Secret were up by 50% - and we have ambitious plans in place to achieve even more, and this new deal is the first step to achieving those goals.”
