Avon has snapped up four new crime novels by award-winning author Marnie Riches.
Commissioning editor Natasha Harding acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to the four novels from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein.
Avon will publish two novels in a new Manchester-set crime series from Riches, the first of which will be launched in paperback and e-book in Spring 2017.
Avon’s digital-first list Maze will publish two further e-books in Riches George McKenzie series, set between London and Amsterdam.
Kate Stephenson, commissioning editor for Avon’s crime list, said: "Marnie is an incredibly exciting new voice on the crime fiction scene, and we are thrilled that Avon will continue to publish her books. The gripping George McKenzie series has earned Marnie critical acclaim and a growing fan base. Her new Manchester series will be every bit as compelling and gritty – and we have no doubt that Marnie’s star will continue to rise.”
Riches said: “I'm delighted to be continuing my relationship with Avon, who have been so supportive of my writing."
