Fourth Estate bags a fresh take of the Fab Four

Nicholas Pearson, editorial director at Fourth Estate, has acquired world, all-language rights in 1-2-3-4: The Beatles in Time by Private Eye parodist Craig Brown in a deal struck directly with the author.

Publication is scheduled for March 2020. Pearson said Brown’s comic royal memoir, Ma’am Darling: 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret (2017), was “one of the most admired biographies of recent times [and] invented a new literary form.”
