G2 Entertainment is to rush-release a biography of England captain Harry Kane, following his "incredible" World Cup performance.
Written by journalist Andy Greeves and with a foreword from Les Ferdinand MBE, Harry Kane: Golden Boy will tell the story of Kane's performances for England at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he captained his country to the semi-finals and fourth place.
The book will take a look back at the striker's performances in all of England's World Cup matches in Russia, which included a trio of goals against Panama and the Three Lions' first hat-trick at the tournament since 1986.
Also covered is the story of Kane's formative years at Chingford Foundation School, his rejection by Spurs' North London rivals Arsenal and loan spells with the likes of Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City prior to his emergence as leading light for club and country.
As Kane prepares to lead Tottenham Hotspur into its brand new £850m, 62,000-seater stadium, the book also takes a look at his "goal-packed" seasons with the club so far. To date he has scored over 140 goals for Tottenham.
G2 Entertainment holds world rights to the title and will publish it next month.
G2 Entertainment is also publishing the story of England manager Gareth Southgate next month and HarperCollins is rush-releasing a title celebrating England's "Young Lions".
