Gollancz signs Louise Carey trilogy

Gollancz has acquired a trilogy of "hi-tech thrillers", set in a post-apocalyptic world where people live in corporate campuses, by Louise Carey. 

World rights in Carey’s novel and its two sequels were acquired by publisher Anne Clarke from Meg Davis at the Ki Agency. The first book, Inscape, is scheduled for publication on 21st January 2021 as a £8.99 paperback.

Touted as a trilogy that "holds a mirror to our own reality", while replete with "compelling characters and sinister politics", Brendan Durkin who will be editing at Gollancz said he couldn't stop turning the pages. 

"Louise Carey has written a razor-sharp thriller with its eyes firmly on a corporation-led future we would do best to avoid," he said. "It asks serious questions about technology and how intrinsic it is to our lives, the action is gripping, the characters leap off the page, and they’re all wrapped up in a mystery that intrigues to the very end."
