Granta signs Han 'masterpiece'

Portobello has signed a “masterpiece” by Man Booker International Prize-nominated author Han Kang.

World English-language rights to The White Book have been sold to Max Porter at Portobello by Kang’s agent, Barbara J Zitwer.

The title, which Kang wrote while working on a writer’s residency in Warsaw, will be published in the UK in February 2017.

The title will be translated into English by Deborah Smith.
