Great British Bake Off winner Nancy Birtwhistle is set to publish her first cookbook with One Boat, an imprint of Pan Macmillan. Hockley Raven Sloane, editorial director at Bluebird and One Boat, has acquired world rights for Nancy’s Green and Easy Kitchen, from Anna Bruce at Yellow Poppy Media.
Birtwhistle won the baking show back in 2014, and since then has published five books, including bestseller Clean & Green. Her latest offering is a collection of “must-have, no-frills recipes” using fresh, natural produce. The book will encourage home cooks to make “green choices in the kitchen” and contains everything from stocks, soups and preserves, to the best use of leftovers, to family meals and celebration dinners.
Birtwhistle said: “I am super proud of this, my first full-colour easy cookery, preserving, baking and ‘meal-making’ book. If you want to know, understand and control the ingredients in your food, cook it yourself, make swaps with confidence and learn how to adapt and adjust for your various cooking appliances then this book is for you. I hope you enjoy it.”
Raven Sloane said: “We are delighted to publish this brilliant, delicious and essential kitchen companion. Nancy makes green living affordable, easy and enjoyable, and this book will be one readers will turn to again and again. The Bluebird and One Boat team love working with Nancy and Yellow Poppy Media, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with them on Nancy’s first full-colour cookbook.”
It will publish in hardback on 27th February 2025.
