Canadian publisher Greystone Books is to release The Little Book of Cannabis: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Life this November.
Written by journalist Amanda Siebert, with a foreword by Dr. Rav Ivker, the book outlines 10 evidence-based ways cannabis can help with issues relating to anxiety, libido, weight-loss and sleep.
In the title, Siebert delves deep into the latest cannabis research, interviewing researchers, medical professionals, and consultants to "separate marijuana fact from fiction". She also offers practical advice for enjoying its benefits, including step-by-step instructions for consumption and dosage, as well as examples of people who have used the drug to enhance their lives.
Siebert is an award-winning journalist and photographer best known for her work as the first-ever cannabis editor at the Georgia Straight. She lives in Canada where after more than 90 years of prohibition, the federal government has just voted to pass the Cannabis Act, paving the way for nationwide legalisation on 17th October 2018.
This follows on from news in the UK where this week Home Secretary Sajid Javid granted "urgent" licence for a child to use cannabis oil to help his epilepsy. The decision has triggered a review into medicinal cannabis use in the UK.
