Little, Brown imprint Piatkus has acquired Eat Well: How To Have A Healthier Happier Gut by nutritional therapist Eve Kalinik.
Editorial director Zoe Bohm acquired world rights from Juliet Pickering at Blake Friedmann at auction for publication in September 2017. It will be Piatkus’ superlead non-fiction title for 2017.
Based on Kalinik’s "modern, fresh and innovative approach" to gut health, Eat Well will be a "beautifully illustrated book" that combines Kalinik’s deep knowledge of digestive health with practical advice and "inspiring and delicious recipes". At its heart, Eat Well will be about "celebrating the food that works for you and your body, and that best keeps your gut well and happy".
Bohm said: "I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Eve Kalinik to Piatkus. I think the time is absolutely right for a book that takes the current conversation about gut health one step further, by showing readers how to put that nutritional information into practice in their daily lives. It is such a pleasure to be working with an author as experienced and passionate as Eve and I’m confident that Eat Well will help readers everywhere understand the importance of good gut health whilst continuing to indulge in delicious, nourishing food."
Kalinik said: "I’m super enthusiastic about the gut and as a true foodie I'm thrilled to be producing Eat Well with Zoe and the brilliant team at Piatkus. Right from the start Zoe wholeheartedly embraced the concept of gut health made delicious and I can't wait to create this book together that celebrates tasty nourishing food for a healthier happier digestion."
