Hardie Grant has acquired BBQ Days, BBQ Nights: Barbecue Recipes For Year-Round Feasting from “live fire connoisseur” Helen Graves.
Commissioning editor Eve Marleau bought world rights from Kay Peddle at Colwill and Peddle. BBQ Days, BBQ Nights will be published in May 2024.
Graves is the author of the Live Fire (Hardie Grant) which was shortlisted for a Guild of Food Writers Award 2023. She is also editor of Pit, an independent food magazine, and won Editor of the Year: Food and Drink at the British Society of Magazine Editor’s Awards 2020, and the Food Magazine Award at the Guild of Food Writers Awards 2023.
Graves said: “This book feels special as it was born from readers’ feedback. So many people told me they loved the simple, boldly flavoured recipes from my first book, Live Fire – and they wanted more! What I personally want most from this book is for everyone who cooks from it to look effortlessly cool at their next BBQ. Don’t we all want that?”
The book will contain 20 menus, each featuring a drink, nibbles, a dip, the platter, a side, some extra carbs and a dessert.
