HarperCollins has acquired The World Is Your Dumpling by chef and recipe developer Emily Roz, scheduled to publish in August.
Thorsons publishing director Lydia Good acquired world rights from Emily Sweet at Aevitas, and it will be co-published with Harvest (HarperUS). The World Is Your Dumpling will be published on 29th August 2024 in hardback and e-book.
The book is described as “an homage to the dumpling, and the diverse flavours and textures that make this food such an appealing go-to for so many people”. The publisher continues: “ Regardless of culture, country, or religion, most cuisines of the world have something that they call a dumpling.
“Whether they’re stuffed or rolled, steamed or boiled, made as an everyday meal, or as a celebratory dish for a special occasion, they’re a universal language for good, happy food. Easy to make and even easier to eat, dumplings are nourishing parcels of deliciousness that can be enjoyed by anyone. Fluffy, crispy, steamy, tasty, spicy, creamy, puffy, crunchy – this debut cookery book is packed full of dumpling recipes that take inspiration from all corners of the globe, while showing you how simple they can be to make at home.”
