HarperCollins Children’s Books will this October start publishing a young fiction series set in a magical werewolf world.
Developed from a concept created in-house, the Lottie Luna series will be written by Vivian French (represented by Lindsey Fraser at Fraser Ross) and illustrated by Nathan Reed (represented by Claire Cartey at Holroyde Cartey). HarperCollins has world rights, including film and TV.
The first book, Lottie Luna and the Bloom Garden, is about Lottie, a werewolf who was born on the night of a solar eclipse so has exceptional powers of strength, speed and vision.
Senior commissioning editor Michelle Misra said: “This series is the perfect fit for our growing young fiction list – with stories that spark the imagination, told by the inimitable Vivian French. I can’t wait to see Lottie Luna grow and grow.”
