HarperCollins Children’s Books will next year publish the 10th book in the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy.
The book, which hasn't a finalised title yet, will see Skulduggery and Valkyrie team up with characters from the first nine books as well as new ones for a "global adventure". It will be released in June 2017 along with new editions of books 1-9.
HarperCollins acquired UK and Commonwealth Rights from Michelle Kass at Michelle Kass Associates.
Nick Lake, Landy’s editor, said: “It has been an incredible honour to work on Skulduggery for the last ten years, seeing the characters develop along with Derek's always-growing skills, and most of all his constant desire to find new ways to tell this most epic of stories. Now, Derek is taking his most ambitious step yet, delivering a second instalment of Valkyrie and Skulduggery's journey that brings into focus the vast extent of his vision, and reveals the mind-blowing truths hidden in this remarkable series from the very first page.”
Global sales of the nine Skulduggery Pleasant books are available in 36 languages and have reached global sales of more than five million, according to HarperCollins Children’s Books.
