HarperCollins has landed two more books from Karin Slaughter, scheduled to be published in 2024 and 2025.
The publisher has acquired both world English and foreign-language rights with the intent to publish across all HarperCollins locations worldwide through its Global Publishing Programme. The deal was negotiated with Victoria Sanders at the Victoria Sanders & Associates agency.
Brian Murray, president and c.e.o. of HarperCollins Publishers, said: “We are thrilled to continue our global publishing partnership with Karin. As a bestselling author who is actively engaged with her readers around the world, we are inspired by her passion to publish to an ever wider audience that transcends languages and countries.”
Kate Elton, managing director of HarperFiction and HarperNonFiction, said: “I’m so thrilled to have a new deal in place with Karin, taking us through to her 25th book. She’s an extraordinary writer, who continues to get better and better with every book, and it’s both a privilege and an enormous pleasure to be her publisher.”
Slaughter added: "Twenty-two years ago I began my partnership with my longtime editor and now UK publisher Kate Elton. She is integral to my creative process and overall publishing success—very few authors have the good fortune to find the people who get them and continue in partnership for this many years. But my editorial relationship with her is only one part of the puzzle and everyone at HC Global continues to strive to do their best for me and my books. I love working with Brian Murray, Liate Stehlik and Chantal Restivo-Alessi, who lead the global teams, and, of course, Emily Krump, who is my US editor. I am very grateful for their faith in me and the enormous work that the whole team around the globe puts into my books.”
