HarperCollins Publishers has acquired world rights in two new novels from author Amanda Robson.
Avon commissioning editor Phoebe Morgan negotiated the deal with Geraldine Nichol at The Book Bureau. Both of the new books under contract will be psychological thrillers. The first in the new deal is slated to publish in April 2019. A second to follow on in 2020.
The new deal builds on the writer's debut psychological thriller, Obsession. Morgan said the novel had been "a real success story" for the imprint after hitting the Kindle top 100 chart and reaching number one on iBooks after it was released in May 2017.
"Amanda is a very talented writer and Obsession has been a real success story for us," said Morgan. "I can’t wait to continue building her and getting her twisted tales into yet more hands."
Robson attended a Faber Academy novel-writing course and now writes full-time. She added: "I am so thrilled to be continuing to work with Phoebe Morgan and the wonderful team at Avon HarperCollins UK."
