HarperCollins is publishing Jared Kushner’s memoir about his experience working in Donald Trump’s White House, including the Russia investigation, impeachment trial and Covid-19 pandemic.
Eric Nelson, executive editor at Broadside Books in the US, acquired world rights to Breaking History: A White House Memoir from David Vigliano. It will publish in the US on 9th August and in the UK, under Harper360, on 18th August.
The synopsis says: “In Breaking History, Kushner provides an honest and nuanced look at one of the most consequential presidencies in recent times. From his office next to the president, senior adviser Jared Kushner operated quietly behind the scenes, preferring to leave the turf wars and television sparring to others as he focused on advancing high-impact goals that experts dismissed as impossible.”
Kushner is also Trump’s son-in-law, married to Ivanka Trump.
The publisher said: “Kushner reveals what really happened inside the Trump White House—not to settle scores, but to give a true insider account of history. He takes readers inside debates in the Oval Office, battles at the United Nations, meetings in Arab palaces, and high-stakes negotiations in Israel, North Korea, China, Mexico and beyond.”
