HarperCollins has signed 119 Days to Go: How to Train For and Smash Your First Marathon by broadcaster and Virgin Breakfast Show host Chris Evans.
Publishing director Jack Fogg acquired world all language rights direct from Evans. The book will be published on 15th April 2021.
The publisher said: “119 Days to Go is a guide and journal to help first-time marathon runners get to the start line in the best shape possible, both physically and mentally. Beautifully designed and filled with humour, insight and hard-won experience, and with a training schedule designed by Dr Martin Yelling, who has coached thousands of first-time finishers for the London Marathon, this is the perfect guide for anyone looking for a helping hand to get themselves off the sofa and onto the start line.
Evans said: “This project has been a complete labour of love from start to finish. I will be using this journal myself to train for my next marathon in London in October. Revisiting my past marathon experiences both in the design and writing process, has had me laughing, crying and wincing, sometimes all at once, for a hundred different reasons. I sincerely believe we have come up with a genuinely useful tool to help every first-time marathon runner who invests in a copy achieve their own unforgettable 119 Days To Go that will change their lives for the better, forever."
Fogg added: “Chris’s enthusiasm for marathons is totally infectious and it’s been huge fun helping him capture that spirit on the page. The book looks fantastic, is filled with great tips and insight and I know it will be treasured by those who use it as they prepare and train for their first marathon.”
