HarperFiction have inked another two-book deal with author Cressida McLaughlin.
Kate Bradley, senior commissioning editor for HarperFiction, acquired world English rights for two books from Hannah Ferguson at Hardman and Swainson.
The first novel, The Cornish Cream Tea Bus, will be released in August 2019 and will be published in four “e-serial” parts, in an e-book format, ahead of the paperback publication.
HarperFiction launched McLaughlin's career in 2015, leading to another two-book deal in 2016, with The Canal Boat Café series selling over 300,000 copies in all formats according to the publisher.
Bradley said: “We’re thrilled to be continuing our very successful partnership with Cressida. The Cornish Cream Tea Bus will feature all the things that readers love the most about her books: idyllic locations, vintage charm, lashings of gorgeous cakes, and a lovable heroine.”
McLaughlin said: “I’m delighted to be publishing two more books with Kate and the HarperFiction team. I love working with them, and I’m very excited about what the future holds. Cornwall is one of my favourite places in the world, and I really hope readers are ready to get on board with The Cornish Cream Tea Bus."
