Harvill plans parade

Harvill Secker deputy publishing director Kate Harvey has completed a “major” deal for a “captivating” début novel after a five-publisher auction.

Harvey acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Montpelier Parade by Dublin-born Karl Geary, a love story with a “dark twist”, from Sophie Lambert at Conville & Walsh.

The novel will be a lead début for Harvill in spring 2017.
