Hay House is to publish Freedom Seeker: Live More. Worry Less. Do What You Love., a "timely" self-empowerment manifesto by Beth Kempton, the founder of online company Do What You Love.
UK commissioning editor Amy Kiberd acquired world English Language rights to the book from Caroline Hardman at Hardman & Swainson.
Freedom Seeker is an "inspiring and practical manual that will enable people—primarily women—to recognise that freedom is a choice and to follow their dreams, using the metaphor of a bird breaking free of its cage and learning to navigate the skies". The Freedom Seeker tools were developed through the author's personal experience and through years of work with her company, Do What You Love which offers online courses to "to thousands of people all across the world, providing them tools, advice and inspiration to do what they love, for life".
Kiberd said: "We are thrilled to be publishing this exciting book on a subject that we know is of huge importance to our readers. Beth's work is a breath of fresh air to anyone who feels trapped in their current circumstances - and we know that her down-to-earth yet dynamic approach will have great appeal to people from all walks of life."
Kempton said: "Being published by Hay House is a dream come true for me. Their authors are among the most influential voices out there, so it's a huge honour. I cannot wait to get this book into the hands of all the women feeling trapped in their current circumstances, and help them set themselves free, to live more full and happy lives."
Hay House will publish the English edition globally in the Spring of 2017, and German rights have been sold to Allegria / Ullstein.
