Hay House US signs 12-book deal with Paul McKenna

Hay House US has confirmed it will publish 12 self-help titles by hypnotist Paul McKenna across the next two years. The titles have all already been published in the UK by Bantam Press. Hay House has acquired US and Canada rights in print, electronic and audio editions.

However a spokesperson for Hay House told The Bookseller that it "did not pay anywhere near" the £7m quoted for the deal in a Telegraph report.

The publisher will release eight titles in 2016 and four in 2017 including Hypnotic Gastric Band and Change Your Life in Seven Days. Further books in the series will include Freedom From Emotional Eating, Quit Smoking Today Without Gaining Weight, I Can Make You Smarter, and Instant Influence and Charisma.

These releases will be accompanied by online video courses that can be downloaded from the Hay House website.

McKenna’s first self-help book How to Mend Your Broken Heart (Bantam Press) was published in 2003.
