HarperCollins has signed a new three-book deal with Stuart MacBride.
Deputy publishing director Sarah Hodgson acquired world rights to three new titles from Philip Patterson at Marjacq Scripts.
The new deal comprises two titles in MacBride’s long-running Logan MacRae series, and one standalone novel.
Since publication of his début, Cold Grante (Harper) in 2005, the first in the Logan MacRae series, sales of MacBride’s novels have increased book on book, and he has now reached the number one spot in the Sunday Times hardback bestseller chart with six consecutive titles, the published said. MacBride’s work has also been translated into 20 languages.
Hodgson said: “I am over the moon to have secured a new three-book contract with the impossibly talented Stuart MacBride. We’ve worked together for well over 10 years now, and I can honestly say that he continues to get better and better with every book, as his many fans will attest. He’s truly one of a kind, and nothing could give me greater pleasure than the knowledge that we have more of his wonderful novels coming our way.”
MacBride said he was "really looking forward to more publishing hijinks and shenanigans with my excellent co-conspirators Sarah Hodgson and Philip Patterson."
