Head of Zeus has snapped up Second Chances at the Board Game Café and another book by author Jennifer Page

Assistant editor Bianca Gillam acquired world English rights from Florence Rees on behalf of Rebecca Ritchie at A M Heath.

The first book, Second Chances at the Board Game Café, will be published in June 2024 as the third instalment in her Yorkshire-set "cosy romance" series The Little Board Game Café. The second book of the two-book contract, a contemporary romance with a "ghostly twist", is due to publish in October 2024 in time for Halloween.

Gillam said: "We could not be more happy to be bringing more books by Jennifer Page onto the Aria list, to both add to her beloved Little Board Game Café series and expand her reach into paranormal rom-coms. She is a true talent, always brimming with brilliant ideas for new books."

Page added: "I was delighted when Aria published The Little Board Game Café, and have been even more delighted at the reception it has had. I’m excited to be continuing the series – I’m a big board games fan and love cosy romance, so combining the two is perfect.

"The idea for the paranormal romance came to me on a writing course a few years back, and it’s niggled away at me ever since, so I’m very happy to be writing it at last."
