Head of Zeus has acquired a romantic fantasy trilogy by debut author Venetia Constantine.
Aubrie Artiano, editorial director for the Aria imprint, acquired world rights in a three-book deal from Sebastian Godwin at David Godwin Associates.
The first novel, The Last Starborn Seer, will be published in hardback as a lead title in the summer of 2026, with sequels following in 2027 and 2028.
Artiano said: “I was immediately captivated by Venetia’s masterful world-building and compelling narrative voice. Her storytelling weaves a vivid tale of self-discovery, darkness and redemption, set against an epic, dangerous quest. It’s a privilege to work with her on this remarkable trilogy, and I’m excited for readers to immerse themselves in this extraordinary universe.”
Constantine said: “I’m so grateful to have found such passionate champions of my writing in Aubrie and the wider Head of Zeus and Bloomsbury families. To be published by them is the stuff of dreams. I’ve carried Leilani’s story for a long time and writing these books was an incredibly healing experience, so I’m delighted for the opportunity to work on this series with Aubrie, and so excited to finally share this world and these characters with readers.”
Constantine read English at King’s College, Cambridge and holds a PhD in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. She lives in London with her husband and three children.
