Head of Zeus (HoZ) has snapped up Lost in Time by A G Riddle, a time-travel thriller set in the near future and distant past.
Publisher Nicolas Cheetham acquired world English language rights from Danny Baror at Baror International. HoZ will publish the novel in hardback and e-book on 1st September 2022 on both sides of the Atlantic. The novel has been selected as Goldsboro Books’ SF Fellowship Book of the Month for August, with an edition featuring an exclusive cover and sprayed edges.
Riddle is the author of 10 books and has sold over five million copies, according to the publisher. Lost in Time follows a father and his daughter, separated by a gulf of 201 million years who must solve a murder and unknot a conspiracy to save not just their family, but also the human race.
Riddle said: "Partnering with Head of Zeus has enabled me to get back to what I really love: writing. And the work they’ve done – from the cover, to editing, and promoting Lost in Time – has been extraordinary. I’m so happy to be working with them in this expanded partnership."
Baror said: "As an avid Michael Crichton fan, I searched for many years for someone who could live up to his reputation and am delighted to have found that in A G Riddle’s Lost in Time. Publishers Weekly agree, as they describe the book as a ‘Crichtonesque thriller’. I can’t wait for readers to get lost in these pages as you’ll realise you yourself have now been entirely lost in time just as you close the book on the last page, awestruck at the twisty ending."
Cheetham said: "Part locked-room murder mystery, part conspiracy-laden tech-thriller, part Triassic survival story, and part coming-of-age novel (with all the twists you should expect of a coming-of-age novel embedded in a time-travel tale), Lost in Time mixes a wealth of genres and excels in all of them. A G Riddle has been at the forefront of thriller writing, not to mention digital publishing, for a number of years and we are delighted to join forces with him, for the first time, throughout the world."
