Head of Zeus is set to publish The Little Library Café Cookbook by Kate Young based on Young's literary-inspired recipe blog.
Madeleine O’Shea, editor at Head of Zeus, bought world rights to the cookbook from Zoe Ross at United Agents.
The Little Library Café Cookbook will feature recipes inspired by “our favourite works of children’s literature”, from Pippi Longstocking’s pancakes and Dr Seuss’s green eggs and ham to chicken and dumplings from Fantastic Mr Fox and lamb stew from The Hunger Games.
O’Shea said: “I’m so pleased to be publishing the wonderful Kate Young’s cookery book. I’ve been a fan of her blog for a while now – the quality of her writing and her visual flair are a seductive combination. I can’t wait to bring Kate’s special brand of cookery writing to a wider, print-loving, public.”
Young said: “I am thrilled to be working with Madeleine and the team at Head of Zeus on my first cookbook. It is so exciting to have the opportunity to develop a book that reflects on childhood, books, and food – my favourite things.”
