Headline Eternal has fallen for Maisey Yates’ new "vibrant" romantic comedy, Other People’s Weddings.
Senior commissioning editor Nic Caws acquired world rights from Helen Breitwieser at Cornerstone Literary. The novel will be published in e-book and paperback in June 2024.
Other People’s Weddings is an enemies-to-lovers romance following a wedding cake designer and a wedding photographer who have clashed ever since high school, but now they have to attend their best friends’ wedding in New Zealand.
Yates has penned over 125 romance novels. She commented: "I am very happy to bring my first romantic comedy to Headline, and to the amazing Nic Caws, who is the perfect editor for this story. I’m excited for readers to get their hands on this one.”
Caws said: “Maisey is the romance queen – And Other People’s Weddings is a real jewel in her crown. The vibrant, sparky dynamic between Poppy and Ryan leaps off the page, and each of their encounters at exciting destination weddings such as Yellowstone, New Orleans and New Zealand gives more of a glimpse into their connection. It’s guaranteed to leave you on a high.”
