Headline Home has snapped up a guide to Ayurvedic wellness rituals by Mira Manek.
Senior commissioning editor Anna Steadman acquired world all language rights from Stuart Cooper at Metrostar Media. Prajñā: Ayurvedic Rituals for Happiness will be published in hardback, e-book and audio on 5th September.
Prajñā is the Sanskrit word for wisdom, and the book brings the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda healing into readers lives by guiding them through easy to follow practices for every day and occasion.
Mira Manek runs a café at Triyoga Soho called Chai by Mira, and hosts events, supper clubs and wellness retreats around the UK and the rest of the world. Her first book, Saffron Soul (Jacqui Small), was a cookbook of healthy vegetarian Indian recipes, published in 2017.
She explained: “I’m a big believer in the power of rituals, and of Ayurveda, which brought me back to happiness following a difficult period in my life. There’s something in this book for everyone, and I’m so excited to be publishing it with Headline Home.”
Steadman said: “I’ve wanted to publish a book about Ayurveda for some time and I’m so pleased to have acquired this one by Mira Manek. Ayurveda has so much to teach us, and these rituals are a way of getting back to yourself and making space for what is really important.”
